Servicing the Sun Coast Since 1972
What You Should Know BEFORE Selecting An Air Conditioning Contractor

Because the air conditioning and heating system in your home or office is typically the largest and most expensive appliance in the structure, you want to protect your investment by making sure that anyone who works on it is properly qualified. That means ensuring they have the proper training, licenses, and insurances, as well as a sound background and company history.

Here’s a list of questions that you should get the answers to before inviting any company to work on or replace your current system.

Is the company licensed by the State of Florida?

Under Florida law, a property owner can actually be fined up to $5,000 for using a non- licensed air conditioning contractor. Climatic Conditioning’s license number is CAC 1821143.

Is the company properly insured?

If an uninsured contractor gets hurt on your property, you may be responsible for his medical bills and lost wages. You may also be responsible for any damage done to your property or a neighbor’s property. Climatic Conditioning Co., Inc. is fully licensed, bonded, and insured. We are happy to provide you with a copy of our insurance certificate upon request.

How long have they been in business?

This will help you determine the reliability and soundness of the company and to give you a sense of whether the company will be there to service your equipment if needed. Climatic has been serving the Sarasota and Manatee area since 1972 and services thousands of customers annually.

Can the company’s service department handle any emergency repairs you may need?

Make sure the dealer has professionally-trained technicians, plus adequate staff, equipment and trucks to respond to your needs promptly. Climatic service technicians are NATE certified, which means they are among the best in the industry.

Does the company provide valid service contracts?

Find out if the company is licensed by the state to sell services contracts. If not, you should be concerned about who will repair your equipment if the company goes out of business. Plus, selling service contracts without a valid state license is against the law.

When installing new equipment, does the company ‘pull’ all the required permits?

This makes sure that an installation job is done correctly and inspected by the proper agencies. If there is no permit, you may be required to have the work done over, even if it was installed properly. Climatic always pulls and posts the proper permits and we never sub-contract out our A/C work.
